Abstract
4336. Krupp Akt. - Ges. Germaniawerft, F. April 29, 1914, [Convention date]. V a l v e s closing with rush of fluid; pressure - relieving devices for fluids.- To prevent the pressure due to an explosion in the fuel injector of an internal - combustion engine from being transmitted to the injection-air r e s e r v o i r, two valves, or a doublefaced valve, B<1>, B<3>. are held between two seats by a spring H and a diaphragm C. An explosion in the pipe G ruptures the diaphragm, and forces the valve on to its seat E, then the valve rises against the seat F and prevents air from escaping from the reservoir to the atmosphere.
