Abstract

1275. Jackson, W. J. Mellersh-, [Posen, S. I.]. Jan. 26. [Addition to 18,809/14.] Battery lamps.-In a pocket lamp, preferably resembling a fountain pen, as described in the parent Specification, a switch in the form of a spring clip 35 outside the casing makes contact through a hole with a conducting-sleeve 30, to avoid having to remove part of the usual insulating- wrapper on the battery. The sleeve 30 is insulated by paper &c. from the casing and is in contact with a spring 21, which presses on one end of the battery 28. The casing is in two parts, as shown, connected by a bayonetjoint 16, the groove of which is recessed at the inward end, the joint being kept tight by the action on the battery of the spring 21. A reflector 12 holding the incandescent lamp is secured in the casing by a similar bayonet-joint.
