In the form shown, the case has bayonet-grooves for the reception of a reflector and lamp-holder 13, the other end being closed by a screw lid 11; one or more cells are insulated from the case by a celluloid wrapping and are pressed on to the lamp by a spring 20, and the circuit is completed by pressing the end of the clip 22 through openings in the case and wrapping into contact with the cell wall. In a modification, the clip slides longitudinally on the casing and has an inwardly projecting pin which comes into contact with the spring 20 when the clip is moved downwards.
