Abstract

23,634. Wilkinron, J. H. Dec. 7. Spray carburettors.-In carburettor of the type described in Specification 8317/13, wherein a rotatable valve controls a number of fuel orifices, the fuel orifices are graduated in size, and the valve exposes a constant number of the orifices, and is provided with a hollow stem through which air may be drawn to pick up any leakage of petrol. The disk B is provided with graduated fuel orifices C, which are controlled by the valve E having a notch L, by means of which a constant number of jets is always in action. The valve has a hollow stem D, through holes O, N in which air is drawn. The valve is actuated by a rack and pinion K, H and is kept to its seat by a spring G bearing against a plate F screwed on the stem of the disk B. The graduated orifices may be in the valve E.
