22,214. Buckley, M. Nov. 9. Loose-ball valves; actuating.-Relates to hosepipe nozzles of the type having a valve opened by a thumb-push and closed automatically by water pressure when the push is released. The nozzle is in two parts 2, 4 screwed together so as to enclose a ball or other valve 8. An oblique push 6 having a flange 6<2> limiting its movements is arranged to open the valve 8. A disk 12 of india-rubber secured by flanges 11 prevents the nozzle from contact with the ground when dropped.
