Abstract
22,027. Knight, J. S. Nov. 5. Lubricant conveyed by fluid.-Lubricant is delivered to the inlet pipe of a petrol engine or the like, between the carburettor and the cylinder, by means of a porous plug C, which is supported by a holder A and projects into the pipe B. The plug may consist of a roll of wire-gauze. The supply of lubricant is controlled by a valve E. The device is placed close to the cylinder, so that its temperature, and the amount of oil which it delivers, vary with the temperature of the cylinder.
