Abstract

111,195. Chinn, C. G. Jan. 10, 1917. Force-feed lubricating; filtering lubricant.-In a pump lubricating-system for internal-combustion engines, an oil filter is combined with a relief valve. Oil forced into a casing at 2 passes through a wire-gauze filter 5 and leaves the casing by a duct 10. A relief passage 13 fitted with a valve 11 allows surplus oil to return to the base sump.
