Abstract

183,728. Petter, P. W., and Petters, Ltd. Aug. 23, 1921. Force-feed lubricators; lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.-Oil is supplied to the main bearings of a two-stroke internal-combustion engine, and thence to the connecting-rod bearings, by pipes i<1>, i<2> from a reservoir f maintained under the pressure in the crank case by a pipe h fitted with a non-return valve. A small leakage hole is provided in the reservoir f so that the pressure is relieved when the engine stops. In a modification, oil is supplied by ring-oilers dipping in wells which may be supplied from the pressure reservoir f.
