Universal joints.-A Hooke's joint is provided with detachable arms b having eyes engaging the pivots c of the cross c, and the pivots e may be capable of sliding in the eyes to allow relative lateral displacement of the connected shafts. The arms b may fit in longitudinal grooves in collars or bosses a on the ends of the shafts, and may be secured by bolts d, clamps, clips, or otherwise.
