Abstract

17,025. Hitzelberger, G. F., and New British Ever Ready Co. July 17. Battery lamps.-A pocket lamp has a bridgepiece C fixed across the battery case to support the lamp bulb, and an insulated contact H adapted to engage a switch F and a battery terminal B<2>; the contact H being inclined to the case to ensure engagement with the terminal B<2>, without accurate positioning. In the form shown, the contact H consists of a strip of metal wound over an insulating-band G, which is threaded on a perforated lug C' integral with the bridge-piece C. The contact H is arranged lengthways in the path of the terminal B<2> and is made as long as possible. The bridge-piece C carries a lampholder D and is connected electrically to the case. The switch F is moved downwards to the on ' position and may be held ' on' or 'off' by friction or a detent.
