Abstract

16,787. Polßnyi, D. July 14. Sighting-accessories.-Consists in a periscope having means for attaching it to a fire-arm so that aim can be taken from cover. The apparatus comprises two tubes a, c, carrying prisms or mirrors d, e, mounted to telescope and rotate in a central tube or socket b attached to the gun. Each of the two tubes a, c is jointed so that it can be folded about a hinge g or h when not in use. In the construction shown in plan in Fig. 2, the central socket b is carried by a clamp s secured to the gun by a strap i and capable of rotating on a transverse axle o. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 15,143/00, 15,273/00, 20,896/00, 24,814/01, and 5971/03.
