Abstract

1727. Beck, C. Feb. 3. Telescopes ; periscopes ; telescope systems. - A multiple-view sighting-telescope for use on aeroplanes &c. consists of a single eyepiece l, Fig. 1, and two or more object-glasses b, b<1>, b<11>, with which are respectively associated differently-placed reflectors d, d<1>, d<11>, Figs. 1 and 2, co-operating with a single reflector c, so that from the same point different parts of the view can be observed, such different views being combined by a compound prism e,f, g in the field of the eyepiece l, so as to be side by side for comparison. Each of the mirrors d, d<1>, d<11> is preferably adjustable. In the compound prism e, f, g shown, the junction between f and g is completely silvered, and the junction between f and e is silvered on the half towards the objectives.
