Pilot-jets.-In a valve device for supplying gas to a burner, the gas supply to the pilot tube 5 is maintained through a groove in the plug cock and when an iron or like tool is placed over the burner, it rotates the tube 5 against the action of a weighted arm 6, 7 into the position shown in dotted lines, the gas cock being then fully open and the issuing gas thus ignited.
