Abstract

C a m - actuated pumps; adjusting time of operation. -The fuel - pump of an internal-combustion engine is driven through a clutch formed by a carrier-plate E provided with two pins C, D for engaging a projection on the driven plate A and is so constructed that the axial position of the plate E determines which pin shall, for the time being, engage with the driven plate. This allows the phase of the cam to be changed relatively to the driving shaft.
