20,835. Fairweather, H. G. C., [Greist Manufacturing Co.]. Sept. 15. Sewing-machines; work guides; presserfeet.-A guide-plate 12 is provided with one or more pairs of right and left hand openended slots such as 20, 23 and 21, 24 by means of which two fabrics may be guided so as to overlap at the stitching point. A closed slot 22 may be provided as a cord or braid guide. The plate may be adjustably attached to a presser-foot by means of a squareshanked bolt 16 passing through a corresponding slot 15 in the plate. The needle hole 18 in the guide-plate is elongated to permit the lateral adjustment.
