Composite springs; connexions and attachments applicable generally for tensile and compressive springs.-Relates to spring suspensions for vehicles, of the type in which the front end of the usual laminar spring a is directly pivoted to the frame-member b, the rear end e being connected to a bolt f, which bears against a plate j and is guided in slots g in shackle-plates h pivotally mounted on each side of the frame-member b. According to the invention, one or more helical springs k are arranged on each side of the shackle-plates between the plate and a plate l on the framemember h. Stops m may be provided to limit the compression of the springs k.
