Composite springs; connexions and attachments applicable generally for tensile and compressive springs.-Relates to spring shackles for motor &c. vehicles, and consists in the provision of an adaptor by means of which the usual shackles can be replaced by shock - absorbing shackles, for example, of the type described in Specification 23,075/10, without any alteration of the parts of the laminated springs or dumbiron, or of the shock-absorber. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the adaptor consists of a single curved bar D, connected at one end to the spring A and at the other to the bolt D<1> of the heads c<2> of a pair of shock-absorbing shackles of the type referred to above. In a modified form, shown in end view in Fig. 5, the adaptor comprises two links E connected at E<1> to the spring A and also to the shock-absorber C.
