Abstract

Spray carburettors.-A heater 11 surrounds the exhaust pipe 10; it has two branch pipes, one, 15, containing the throttle valve 17, the other, 19, leading from the chamber 22 containing the spraying-nozzle 30. Air is admitted through the adjustable suction-actuated valve 41 and mixes with fuel from the pipe 28, controlled by hand by means of a cam 36 coacting with a roller 34 carried by the stem of the valve 29. The air and fuel are mixed by a rotating screw 25 and a fixed perforated nozzle or screen 20.
