13,186. Betley, R. June 5. Spray carburettors. - Two nozzles c, d are mounted, without the use of choke-tubes, in the casing a. The nozzle d extends beyond the throttle valve b which is cut away to allow air to flow past the nozzle. Hot air is supplied to an adjustable chamber n whence it passes through holes a<2> to the mixing chamber. The fuel is controlled by a valve g screwed into a coned extension f to which is fitted the coned end h of an arm h<1> carrying the float-chamber. After adjustment, the arm h<1> is locked in position by the nut m. In a modification, three nozzles are employed, one extending beyond the throttle, the other two being below it.
