Abstract

Mixing-valves.-An appliance for mixing air and gas consists of an air-inlet valve to which is connected a tubular gas-inlet valve operated by the pressure of the gas. The air-inlet valve is formed as a piston-valve c in a chamber a, through an extension f of which passes the tube i<1> of the gas-inlet valve. The tube i<1> carries a piston g, which is exposed to the pressure of the gas entering through the intake k and the action of two springs h, s. Openings d<11> are formed in the tube i', through which air leaking into the chamber f is drawn by the gas current into the chamber a. The inlet of the tube i<1> is controlled by a needle valve q passing through and secured adjustably in a hollow rotary valve l controlling the gas intake k. To regulate the opening of the valve c, a disk a<1> is attached as shown by pins b' to a piece c<1> adjustable on the extension f of the chamber c.
