Abstract

8754. Liibbecke, W. April 14. Connexions, attachments, and adjustments, applicable generally for tensile and compressive springs.-An extensible link, described in connexion with the framework of aerial vessels, is shown in Fig. 25 in which two telescoping sockets 21, 24 are connected by a pin 25 and slot 26. A spring 23, surrounding the rod 18, causes the link to be elastic during compression and tension, and the tension of the spring can be regulated by the nut 22.
