Composite springs; connexions, attachments, and adjustments for tensile and compressive springs ; india-rubber springs.- Relates to a construction of telescopic spring spoke of the kind in which a compression spring resists shortening and lengthening of the spoke. The two tubular members 9, 10 enclose a freelv movable rod 19 surrounded by a helical spring lying in the larger member. The rod carries a head 20, 21 at each end and passes through the inwardly - turned abutment 18 on the smaller member. A loose plate 23 embraces the rod between the end of the spring and the inner member. Small rubber biliffers are arranged between the abutting elements. The helical spring may be replaced by small rubber bodies threaded on the rod.
