548,964. Resilient shackles. METALASTIK, Ltd., and GOLDSCHMIDT, M. Oct. 13, 1941, No. 7107/42. Divided out of 548,938. [Class 108 (iii)] An elastic tension connection includes a rubber tension spring enclosed in separable hollow shells each having an integral connection member by which the shells transmit the load. The telescopic shells 41,42 are connected to the pins 45,46 respectively and are slotted as at 54, 55 to allow relative movement of the other pin. The shells may be in two parts welded together and integral with attachment eyes 43, 44. The pins are connected by the rubber tension members 40. Specification 548,938 is referred to.
