Abstract

629,229. Valve holders. GOLDSTAUB, H. H. Aug. 9, 1945, No. 20472. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XL (a)] A shock-absorbing valve retainer comprises a loop e formed of threads a, b of non-inflammable material knotted at c, d to provide four free ends f, g, h, i, which are knotted individually in thimbles n, o to which springs t, u are secured. The thimbles have openings k, j for the strips a, b and carry a plate v apertured at x for the springs. Modifications of the thimbles include those having a ring through which the free ends of the loop may be passed; a stirrup formed within the thimble; two parts screwed together through one of which the free ends are knotted, the spring being connected to the other part. Specifications 565,482 and 678,789 are referred to.
