Seating cushions and padded upholstery, securing in position. - Detachable upholstery for motor - cars, cyclecars, motor-cycle sidecars and trailers, aerial c r a f t , carriages, and other vehicles, is formed in one or more sections mounted on frames provided with ribs to engage corresponding grooves on the vehicle body, so that the whole or part of the vehicle can be adapted for carrying luggage by removing the upholstery. The Figures show detachable parts provided with ribs e to engage grooves f on the vehicle body, and with grooves l to receive ribs k on the seating - cushions j. Screws, bolts, clips, &c. may also be used to secure the upholstery in place. The top edges g of the upholstery are formed to overhang the top edges of the vehicle body, strips or pads of india - rubber &c. being interposed at the joint.
