Seat adjustments; revolving seats; spring mountings for seats.-A vehicle seat comprises a post c adapted to slide along a guideway b, and means for yieldingly securing the post in any desired position on the guideway to enable the chair to be tilted. The spring-pressed rod f, within the post c, carries a toothed member h engaging a rack d on the underside of the guideway, and the members h, d can be disengaged by actuating the lever l. The seat proper p carries a socket u fitting over the post c, a rotating and sliding motion being allowed between these parts b the provision of a wide annular groove v and a set-screw t.
