Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and metal springs other than helical and volute springs; spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and pneumatic, rubber-ring, and like cushions.-Single or laminated curved blade springs rigidly secured to the hub make tangential contact with the rim without positive attachment thereto, and are combined with pneumatic, solid rubber, or felt cushions at the hub co-operating with flanged disks secured to the rim. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the springs 3 secured tangentially to the hub are so curved that at intermediate points a they may act to give mutual support. In the form shown in Fig 3, the inner parts of the springs are radial. In the form shown in Fig. 4, flanges 9, 9<1> of different diameters on disks 8, 10 at the sides of the springs engage the cushions 6, 14. In the form shown in Fig. 5, a single hub cushion 6 is arranged between two series of springs. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also a form similar to that shown in Fig. 3 in which the springs are riveted to the rim. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
