Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and metal springs other than helical and volute springs. - A spring wheel with inner and outer rims and interposed cushions is characterized by a ring which is caused to rotate by the eccentricity of the rims, and bring the cushions simultaneously and equally into action. In the construction shown, levers 11 are pivoted to the inner rim 3 on pins 10, connected near their inner ends by short pivoted links 12, Fig. 3, to the ring 7, and bear at their outer ends on the outer rim 19. The levers are connected in series by C-springs 13. The two rims are enclosed by overlapping channelmembers with dust-excluding packing.
