4694. Leonard, J. W. Feb. 23. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and helical springs; spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and rubber-ring and like cushions.-Abutment blocks 12, 17, secured alternately to the inner rim 1 and the outer rim 3, are formed with end cups carrying inclined springs 20 and with central cups in which are seated radial springs 15. The ends of the radial springs engaging the outer rim are seated in cups 10. The ends of the radial springs engaging the inner rim are seated in cups 23, which have sleeves 22 containing rubber cushions 26 and lying with a clearance around studs 21 on the blocks secured to the outer rim.
