3123. Collett, E. Feb. 6, 1912, [Convention date]. Ammonium sulphate.-In the oxidation of ammonium sulphite solution to sulphate by treatment with a gas containing oxygen, the gas is passed through a tower in the same direction as the sulphite. Any ammonia that may be introduced to combine with liberated sulphurous acid is also passed in in the same direction. Specification 16,629/11 is referred to.
