Abstract
3104. Renault, L. Feb. 6. Balance or different i a l gearing; transmission gear of invariable ratio.-Comprises epicyclic reducing gear contained with the differential gear in a casing on the rear axle. The differential gear 4 drives short shafts 7 each of which carries double planet pinions 14 gearing with a fixed internally-toothed ring 15 and a smaller toothed ring 16 fixed to the road wheel axle 17. A modification is described in which the wheels 15, 16 are both externally - toothed wheels.
