Cleaning machines.-A device for cleaning the thread board of a ring spinning-machine consists of a channelled plate a, which is slid along the board, the side wall b bearing against the board and the side wall c against the shanks of the thread-guides. The wall c covers the front edge of the board, and is inclined so as to clear the threads. Card strips i, i<1>, i<2> arranged in descending altitudes and a felt strip f gather up the fluff accumulated into wads by spaced felt strips e. The inner ends of the strips e are turned back and connected to the plate so as to form resilient beads, the edges h being cut obliquely so as to guide the fluff towards the side wall b. The wads of fluff can be removed through apertures k. The plate may be formed as shown with two chambers d. The card strips may be replaced wholly or partly by brushes.
