Abstract

[Addition to 28,091/12.] Mantles; mantle-carriers. - In the gasburner described in the parent Specification, in which the mantle is supported from a globe or the like from above and the burner head enters the mantle from below, the mantle is pear-shaped and the internal diameter of the supporting-ring is equal to the external diameter of the burner head while the luminous length of the mantle is, for ordinary gaspressures, about 2¢ to 4¢ times and its maximum diameter is from 2¢ to 3 times the internal diameter of the ring.
