Mantle supports and accessories.- In a burner in which an upright mixing-tube enters a mantle of the inverted type from below, the mantle is supported in a glass chimney. In one arrangement, the lugs on the mantle ring h are supported on a cylindrical part g of the chimney, and the ring h is provided with ribs k engaging within the part g, or is hooked over the edge of the chimney. A deflector l in the form of a cylindrical or annular cap or disk is suspended within the mantle ring. The burner is provided with a slotted burner head c.
