Mantle supports and accessories. - In inverted incandescent gas burners, the flame, after impinging on the lower part of the mantle, is deflected on to the upper parts thereof by a loose annular plate 4, which may have a thumb-piece 10 and is supported by fingers on the upper side of the holder 5. When the holder is tapered, the plate rests loosely on its inner wall. According to the Provisional Specification, the plate may be formed integrally with the mantle-holder.
