Incandescent gas lamps.-In an inverted burner having a bent mixing- tube, the latter is formed with an upwardly or horizontally curved d part c, Fig. 1, and is surrounded and completely hidden by a deep globe ring a extending to the mixing-chamber d, the air-inlets being masked by a shield e, Fig. 5. A diaphragm f, Fig. 1, with flanged apertures for the passage of the combustion gases is arranged under the mixing-tube, and a secondary mixing- chamber k may be arranged in the mixing-tube. The shield e acts as a hit-and-miss regulator by forming it with flutings o as shown in Fig. 6, and non-conducting material may be placed between the diaphragm f and the globe ring.
