Abstract

29,942. Weyres, H., and Schwarz, E. Dec. 29, 1911, [Convention date]. Void. [Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Incandescent gas burners.-The burner has a long mixing-tube, Fig. 1, the gallery being so arranged that the burner-head is near the middle of the glass chimney, and a bell shade may be provided in the position shown in Fig. 2. The burner-nipple has a single orifice formed in a removable plate. In the mixing-tube is a plate having a central cone surrounded by radial or other apertures, and a similar plate forms the burner head, which mav be of metal, magnesite, talc, steatite, &c. The mantle-rod is carried by a ring encircling the mixing-tube, Figs. 1, 4. The hit-and-miss air-regulator is stamped in one with the gallery. Fig. 5 shows the invention applied to an inverted burner. The tapered air-inlet tubes (three or more) "whose relative position is not parallel to each other " terminate in hooks for carrying rotatably a hit-and-miss air-regulator and the gallery.
