Incandescent gas burners; mantles.-The lamp is provided with one or more flat incandescent bodies n supported by pivoted carriers h, and with burner mouths f of substantially rectangular section for producing a broad flat thin flame which spreads over the whole surface of the incandescent body. The mixing-tube is provided with an enlarged chamber d. The incandescent body n is secured between rings l, m, and is prevented from buckling by platinum wires. The Specification in the original form, as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a), also states (1) that the chamber d may be variable in volume and may have several enlargements, (2) that the ring m may be secured to the ring l by its elasticity or by a bayonet-fastening, and (3) that the burners may be provided with flame deflectors. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
