Incandescent gas lamps.-The tops of inverted lamps, with which the combustion gases come in contact, are: each formed of an outer metal part and an inner part of glass or ceramic material. In a combined top and globe or shade holder, the apertures i the under ceramic part B are provided with flaring lips b, Fig. 1, or with deflectors b, Fig. 3, extending through apertures a in the outer metallic part A, and the inner part is formed with a lower flange and with elongated holes for the reception of screws e, Fig. 1.
