Abstract

27,381. Levy, A. Nov. 26, 1908, [Convention date]. Incandescent gas burners. - The constricted part h of the mixing-tube of an inverted acetylene burner and its burner - mouth exit e are each approximately 2À5 mm. in diameter, and the point of the gas nipple g is arranged equidistantly from the constricted part h, and from the conical mixing-chamber l, measured in a plane at right-angles to the axis of the nipple. The preferably conical burner head b is connected to a sharp bend at the end of the mixing- tube, which is also formed with a second bend so that the mixing-chamber is not in the same plane with the burner head. The wall of the conical burner head decreases in thickness from above downwardly, and the burner head may carry the mantle, shade, &c. Fig. 2 shows the burner partly in elevation, and partly in plan.
