Abstract

13,998. Armytage, W. K. L., and Lucas, J. S. June 15. Mantle carriers.-Relates to locking-devices for inverted incandescence mantles. The mantle ring c, Fig. 4, is provided with projections f, which pass up through grooves g in the burner tube attachment b. The mantle ring is then turned through a small angle with the projections f in an annular channel e, and then dropped slightly, so that the projections f fit into recesses in the burner attachment. In an alternative form, the projections are formed on the burner tube, and the mantle ring, Fig. 10. is provided with the grooves j, a channel k, and recesses l.
