Cylinders, attachments to, for compressing air.-The invention relates to a pump operated by the fluid in one of the cylinders of an engine, and particularly adapted for inflating motor-vehicle tyres though it may be used for compressing air for starting the engine, the pump being of the type comprising connected solid pistons B, B<1> working respectively in a power cylinder A and a pump cylinder A' of lesser diameter having inlet and delivery valves D, E. in the cylinder end. According to the invention, air is supplied to the engine cylinder by way of a valve F located on the pump between the power piston B and the engine cylinder.
