Abstract

21,227. White, W. B. Sept. 18. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid rim and helical springs.-The tyre 7 is carried by a disk 2 formed with a central hub clearance 3. Rods 8 fixed to the hub 1 at each side of the disk pass through eyes 12 in brackets 11 fixed to the outer part of the disk. Transverse pairs of rods are stayed by bars 13 with eyes 18. The central parts are formed with pairs of collars 16 which are guided against the sides of slots 15 in the disk. The slots open into spaces 17 through which the stays are placed into position. Helical springs adjustable by nuts 20 are used.
