26,522. Oakes, P. Nov. 16. Spring wheels with sectional outer guided members.-Relates to wheels in which radial telescopic tubes enclosing springs are fitted to the rim and enclosed in a cover. The inner tubes A., Figs. 1 and 2, are formed with lugs B bolted to the face of the rim, and pass through the felloe. Their inner ends are fitted with adjustable screwed plugs K, which support helical springs or rubber cushions. The outer cylinders with closed ends are formed with four lugs. The lateral ones H<1> serve to attach two curved plates I supporting the cover, the others H are connected circumferentially by spring links or chains J. The cover is of the ordinary kind. It may be slit radially at points in its sides, and is fitted with transverse strips to prevent creeping.
