19,937. Austin, A. F. Sept. 2. Davits.-Single slueing-davits for handling ship's boats are provided with friction wedge blocks C sliding in guide-frames cast to the bed-plate F. The blocks are worked in and out by screws E, and are adapted to engage with the slueing-wheel D to keep the crane firm in any position. The crane is provided with a hinged portion in the side plating to facilitate repairs &c.
