19,646. Kemp, W. R. A. Aug. 28. Cutting and slicing vegetables &c.-In a device for stringing and slicing French beans, a holder 11 adapted to be fixed to a table &c. has caps or heads 14, which are mounted on two spring legs 13, or on one rigid leg and one spring leg, and which may be adapted to meet to form a flared passage 15 between them. In the form in which one rigid and one spring leg are used, diagonal knives 18 secured in slots string the beans which are then sliced by a series of angularly-set knives 24 carried in a frame 23 fixed to the rigid leg. A blade may also be secured to the frame 23 to remove the ends of the beans.
