Cutting vegetables.- A device for chipping potatoes &c. comprises a base E having at each corner angle-iron guides F in which moves a cutter B consisting of a frame carrying crossed knives a, b and fitted with a handle D. The central knives are vertical and the outer knives inclined so that the area of the space between them increases upwardly, and the knives are notched to fit together with all the cutting edges in the same plane. Pins e are provided on the base to hold the potato in position.
