Void, [Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Force-feed lubricators.-The bearings of an internal-combustion engine are lubricated by oil. forced by a pump to a bore in the crank-shaft, a second pump draining oil from the crank-casing to a reservoir. The two rotary pumps A, B are operated in unison by a toothed wheel a<2> geared to a wheel e<2> on the crank-shaft E. The pump A draws oil from a reservoir and forces it to a bore e in the crank-shaft, whence it passes through openings e<1> to the various bearings F, F'. The pump B draws oil from the crank-casing D and forces it to the reservoir.
