Reinforced-concrete walls, floors, and beams.- The skeleton consists of ladder-like transverse frames a, b, Fig. 1, and longitudinal or main bars c secured to the shoulders of the rungs b. One or more bars a may be used, and are welded or wired to the bars b. In the construction of walls, the frames a, b are temporarily held apart longitudinally by notched boards, and are supported laterally in the mould by notched boards f, Fig. 6. Floors are similarly formed, the rungs b being vertical. The beam reinforcement shown in Fig. 9 consists of rungs o secured to an upper or lower bar n, or to both, and main bar p, which are held by the turnedover ends of the rungs o.
