Abstract
26,130. Schroiff, J. Nov. 14. Reinforced-concrete beams. - The reinforcement consists of vertical and horizontal layers of interlaced steel wires, of the kind described in Specification 4260/12, the horizontal layers 2 being either straight for the whole span, or the end portions or single wires thereof being bent up as shown. One central vertical layer 4 may be used in place of the two shown, and the layer 3 in the upper part may be omitted. An arched layer 5 and shear members 4<1> may be added, the upper ends of the shear members being bent laterally into the flanges of the beam.
